Fat Celebs: “Heroes” Chapter 3 Continues

Heroes Chapter 3: Villains continues tonight on NBC, picking up after rather a slower or more controversial start to the season. After my Heroes premiere review, and a second review in early October, we’re now several more episodes into the season. Perhaps you’ll think that after two Heroes writers / producers were fired, things are picking back up. I’d have to agree, although I may be one of the lone voices that thinks it’s been good all season as well.As far as the life of Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) goes, he’s had quite the hard time of it this season! After taking Sylar’s powers to help save the future, he nearly kills his own mother then has his powers stolen from his father, who then also tries to kill him. Phew! But after all that, he’s still trying to do good, and that’s why we love Peter. What do you think of the season so far?!Milo Ventimiglia as Peter Petrelli - PhotosNBC Photo: Adam TaylorNBC Photo: Adam TaylorNBC Photo: Adam TaylorNBC Photo: Adam TaylorNBC Photo: Chris HastonNBC Photo: Chris HastonNBC Photo: Chris HastonNBC Photo: Chris HastonStay tuned to SuperheroProfiles for the latest Heroes news!Tags: Heroes, heroes chapter 3, Milo VentimigliaShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: The Game: 3.01 ‘Baby on Board’ Recap

Original Air Date: October 3, 2008Yes, there is definitely a baby in the oven during the third-season premiere of The Game. Unfortunately for Melanie, who decided at the end of last season that she still loves Derwin, that baby belongs to her former fiancé and his former girlfriend Janay (Gabrielle Dennis). As the episode opens and Derwin delivers the shocking news to Melanie, neither can believe it. In fact, Melanie is so suspicious, she makes Derwin suspicious that Janay might be fooling with him to get her hands on some of his money. Never mind that Janay is independently wealthy, thanks to her father’s successful coffee-cup lid business (who chose that?!).The doubts get to Derwin eventually, and he visits Janay at her job to have her pee on another one of those sticks. Actually, he brings a whole bag of sticks, just to make sure.Of course, the results confirm that Janay isn’t lying, and Derwin won’t even bother with Melanie’s follow-up protests that maybe he’s not the father. Janay doesn’t have any reason to lie about that either. Forced to put on her happy face for Derwin, Melanie breaks down the second she leaves his apartment, giving the episode one of those familiar dramatic closing moments that make The Game so much better than a mere sitcom.Elsewhere, while Malik is busy plotting to keep his recent marriage to Robin Givens (who doesn’t appear in the episode, by the way) from his mother Tasha, Jason is busy trying to get back with his wife Kelly. However, a reunion between the Pitts is made impossible by Kelly’s visiting parents (Lee Garlington as Bren and Don McManus as Nick), whom Jason derisively and kinda accurately calls hillbillies.Kelly, Bren, and Nick take over the Pitts mansion, refusing to let Jason stay. Bren is particularly angry at him, although it seems both she and her husband, Kelly’s stepfather, are most interested in Kelly getting as much of Jason’s wealth as possible in a divorce settlement.Unfortunately, it looks like that’s exactly where things are heading after Jason, apparently still unaware of how disrespectfully he talks to and about his wife, gives Kelly an ultimatum of either trying to work things out or divorcing. The condescending tone of his voice makes the difficult choice easy enough for Kelly to select the latter, and I couldn’t agree with her more. To put it nicely, Jason acts like an ass.“Baby on Board” has more in common with a dramedy than a comedy, and it’s an excellent season premiere that promises quite a bit more drama in the near future. At this point, things are definitely looking good for viewers, yet perhaps not so much for some of the show’s main characters. Fat Celebs: Angelina Jolie opens up to Vanity Fair about love, babies, and politics

The German version of Vanity Fair magazine has yet another interview with Angelina Jolie for us to enjoy - I love when she takes the time to talk to the good magazines because it’s always so enjoyable to read what she has to say. In this issue she talks about Brad Pitt, her kids, and even gets (gasp!) political. Us Weekly has a few highlights for us to enjoy in case you’re not able to get the German Vanity Fair where you live (they’re hard to find here, but they’re also super expensive!).On why she could be voting for Barack Obama: “Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay. They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family.”It’s exactly what she had said in the past, that due to her work with the UNHCR, she was especially interested in hearing what each candidate had to say about work in war-torn third world countries like the ones she continues to help on a constant basis.More highlights of the Vanity Fair interview with Angelina Jolie below the cut:I’m particularly happy that she addressed this first one - so many people seem to think she’s anti-American just because she chose to adopt internationally. On why she’s proud of the USA: “I am very proud of being American, and all my children have got American passports. For me, our family is just what America is - a melting pot, a mixture of many different races and nations. My children should be proud of their Asian and African roots, but that in no way means [is] a lack of respect for the fact that they and their parents are Americans.”On her twins Knox and Vivienne (3-months-old on Sunday): “It’s a damned arduous business, and we are often simply whacked out because it is twice as hard with two babies as with one. But it also makes for double the fun. After we flew back from Europe, we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. We were all in bed early, but at half past four, they were awake and making a real racket… Brad took care of them. He said to me, ‘Go back to sleep, you’re back to work in the morning,’ and moved into the kids’ room with them. He is an astounding father, full of devotion… [Knox and Vivienne] have quite similar, stable rhythms. Every three hours they get hungry, then I have to satisfy them. But that’s OK, the two of them are totally sweet. When you see them, you think they were made for each other. They laugh together, they sniff each other, touch each other. It is beautiful.”On struggling to find alone time with Brad: “Sometimes, at the end of the day, we try to retire to the bathroom to be undisturbed,” she says. “But then [the kids] hear the water running and want to come in and, yet again, we are all together. But that doesn’t disturb us because they are great kids.”On how fame has changed motherhood for her: “I would like to have more freedom, especially to have the chance to be more spontaneous with my kids. Would I like to be able to walk through the streets with my kids? Of course. Would I like to be able to wander around Manhattan and buy them an ice cream like other mothers? Of course. But it is not possible. On the other hand, every morning I wake up with the people who are the most dear to me in the whole world. That’s why I don’t feel isolated from that, which is important to me. It helps, of course, that Brad knows all about it, but he’s experienced it even more than me. We often talk about it and try to make the best of things. But I am very grateful for our life and everything that we have.”I think this may end up being one of my favorite interviews with her ever!Share This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: LOST 5.12 “Dead is Dead” recap

As expected, “Dead is Dead” was an episode heavy with mythology and provided some deeply sought-after answers. It was every bit as much about John Locke — if not more so, in the long run — than it was about Benjamin Linus (who’s just a bad, bad, scheming, conniving man).I take my notes on paper, and filled up almost half a legal pad on this one.Favorite line: “If everything you’ve done is in the best interests of the island… then I’m sure the monster will understand.” - John LockeIn 1977, a middle-aged man we’ve never seen before rides into the Others’ camp. Angry, he walks up to Richard Alpert and asks what he’s done with young Ben. They argue over Richard’s actions — healing Ben by taking him inside the Temple, as we saw in last week’s episode — and Richard puts an end to the discussion by telling this man that “Jacob wanted it done. The island chooses who the island chooses, you know that.”The middle-aged man goes inside an adjacent tent to visit ailing Ben. Young Ben remembers nothing of his ordeal, and the man explains that he is among friends, and they’ll be taking care of him. Ben tells the man that he doesn’t want to go back to the Dharma Initiative and his father, he wants to stay here. He can’t stay here, but the man points out that just because he’s not living with here, doesn’t mean he’s not one of them. “You should be dead, but this island saved your life,” the man says. He asks Ben’s name, and then tells him his own: Charles Widmore.Years later, after the Purge and Ben’s joining up with the Others, Ben and a younger teenage boy watch a manmade shelter on the beach at night. The teenage boy asks Ben if he wants him to do it, and Ben tells the boy to “shut up and stay here,” calling him by name: Ethan. Ben approaches the makeshift shelter and finds young Danielle Rousseau inside — sometime after she’s given birth to baby Alex. He holds Danielle at gunpoint, and she accuses him of being “the one who infected us.” He takes Alex, over Danielle’s protests, saying, “If you want your child to live, every time you hear whispers, you run the other way.” He tells her he’ll kill her if she tries to follow him.Later that same night, Ben returns to the Others’ camp with baby Alex in his arms. A much older and recognizable Charles Widmore is there, sitting beside Richard Alpert at a campfire. Widmore asks if Ben did it. Ben says there was a complication. Widmore reminds him that his orders were to kill the woman, aka Danielle. Ben says that Danielle is no threat to them, and protests the fact that Widmore didn’t tell him that Danielle had a child. Widmore says Ben should have killed them both, that it’s what’s best for the protection of the island. Ben is outraged at the thought of killing a child, and tells Widmore that if Alex being dead is what Jacob wants, then Widmore will have to do it himself. His bluff seemingly called, Widmore walks away from the camp, alone. Ben makes eye contact with Richard, who’s observed this entire exchange with great interest.Years later, one day adult Ben is pushing little Alex on a swingset outside their house at the Barracks. Richard approaches and says the sub is about to depart, but Ben “doesn’t have to see him off.” Ben says that he does. At the dock, Charles Widmore is being escorted by two armed Others to the submarine, his hands bound. Ben approaches, says he’s come to tell Widmore goodbye. Widmore fires back that that’s not true, Ben came to gloat. Ben says, “Don’t act as if I wanted this. You brought this on yourself. You left the island regularly. You had a daughter with an outsider. You broke the rules.” Widmore asks what makes Ben think he deserves to take what’s his (referring to the leadership of the Others). Ben replies that he won’t be selfish, that he’ll sacrifice anything to protect the island. Widmore points out that Ben refused to sacrifice Alex for the good of the island, and Ben argues that it was Widmore who wanted Alex dead, not the island. Widmore says that one day Ben will be standing where he’s standing now, being banished, and unable to fight the inevitable. “I’ll be seeing you, boy,” is his farewell. In 2007, at the pier in Los Angeles the morning of the day the Oceanic 6 return to the island, Ben phones Widmore and tells him he’s going back to the island today. Widmore says the island won’t let him, that he’s spent almost twenty years trying do the same thing, unsuccessfully. Ben says that where Widmore failed, he will succeed. He just has one thing left to do — kill Penny. He says he’s looking at Our Mutual Friend right now, which is the name of the boat Penny is on. Widmore says, “You wouldn’t dare,” but Ben hangs up on him.Ben approaches the boat, but Desmond, unloading groceries from a nearby car, spots him and demands to know what he’s doing here. Ben spins and shoots him, and Desmond falls to the ground. Penny sees the whole thing, and calls out to Desmond in a panic, moving toward him from the boat. Before she can get down to the pier, Ben stops her, holding a gun on her. He apologizes that she’s gotten caught up in this thing between him and her father, who he calls “a really terrible human being.” Ben says he’s here because Widmore killed his daughter. Penny tells him that she and her father have no relationship whatsoever, and her son Charlie appears, climbing up to the boat’s deck from below. Penny frantically tells him to go back inside, then begs Ben not to hurt the boy. Ben, seeing the boy for the first time, hesitates and then lowers his gun. He’s not going to kill any of them. Desmond suddenly tackles him, and beats the living snot out of him. Ben’s gun falls in the water early on, and then at the end, Desmond throws Ben into the water, too.In the infirmary on Hydra island, Locke wakes Ben up, welcoming him back to “the land of the living.” Ben is flabbergasted that Locke is alive, yet he tells Locke he always believed this would happen, that the island would save Locke. Locke asks why Ben was trying to leave Hydra island for the main island, and Ben says that he broke the rules in coming back, so he has to go be judged. Locke asks, “Judged by who?” Ben says that his people don’t have a word for it, but that John calls it “the monster.”On Hydra beach, Ilana greets Ben as she and some of the others are unloading a very large steel crate. Ben asks what’s inside, but she won’t say, brushing the question off. Ben walks away and is approached by Caesar, who asks how he’s doing. Locke stands behind them in the distance, at the shoreline, and Caesar asks Ben about Locke, telling Ben that Locke said that Ben killed him. Ben denies it, making Locke out to be a “dangerously deranged” local who was on the island already, and not on the plane. Caesar shows Ben his gun (which he procured from the Hydra station back in “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham”) and tells him that he’s got Ben’s back.Later, Ben searches the naughty office inside the Hydra station, and locates a framed picture of himself and Alex from happier times, which he takes out of the frame and keeps. Locke enters and realizes that this was Ben’s old naughty office. He’s surprised at how “corporate” it is, feeling that this isn’t in keeping with the Others’ style. Impatient, Ben asks why Locke is really here, and Locke replies, “Well Ben, I was hoping you and I could talk about the elephant in the room.” Ben claims that his murdering Locke was the only way to get Locke back to the island. He reminds him that Locke failed to get the Oceanic 6 back together and convince them to return, so the only way to accomplish that was by Locke’s death. Locke asks that if he meant for Locke to die the whole time, then why did he stop him from hanging himself. Ben says that Locke had critical information that would have died with him, and after that, Ben “just didn’t have time to talk you back into hanging yourself.” He claims that his plan worked, that Locke’s back and so are the Oceanic 6, although he doesn’t know where they are just now. He concludes that he did what he did because it was in the best interests of the island. Locke smiles after Ben’s long-winded and exasperated explanation, and says, “I was just hoping for an apology.” He says he’s decided to help Ben accomplish his goal — he’s going with him to the main island, and he’s going to help Ben to be judged by the monster. On the beach, the two of them make to take another of the three outrigger canoes across to the main island. But Caesar tries to stop them, saying they’re not going anywhere and Locke is going to tell him how he knows so much about the island. When Locke refuses, Caesar goes to pull his gun, but Ben has it in his hands and shoots Caesar dead! He tosses the gun to Locke and quips, “Consider that my apology.”Later, the outrigger carrying Ben and Locke arrives at the Dock on the main island, and Locke notices that another boat is already there. Ben tells him about what happened with Sun and Frank, and Locke asks if it was Sun that hurt Ben’s arm. Ben says no, that was someone else. To which Locke replies, “You just make friends everywhere you go, don’t you.” Ben says that in his experience, friends can be more dangerous than enemies. Locke asks if that’s why he shot and killed Caesar when the man was unarmed. Ben explains that Caesar was unarmed because he stole the gun — the same gun Caesar was going to kill Locke with, and “we couldn’t let that happen.” “No sense in me dying twice, right?” asks Locke. “You’re welcome,” replies Ben.Locke asks if they’re headed for Ben’s old house, and Ben says yes, that that’s the only place he can summon the monster. Locke asserts that Ben is lying about his reasons for wanting to be judged. It’s not because Ben broke the rules, Locke says, because Ben doesn’t care about rules of any kind. Rather, Ben wants to be judged for killing his own daughter. Ben has no reply. At night, at the Barracks, Locke asks whose idea it was for the Others to move into the Barracks from the jungle, insinuating that it was Ben’s idea. Ben asks if Locke disapproves, to which Locke replies that it “just doesn’t seem like something the island would want.” “You don’t have the first idea what this island wants,” Ben shoots back. Locke looks him dead in the eye and calmly asks, smiling, “Are you sure about that?”A light comes on inside Ben’s old house, in what used to be Alex’s room. Locke coolly suggests that Ben go check it out. Ben enters the house, finds it in disarray. Sawyer and Hurley’s board game from before Keamy’s attack is still on the table. He walks back to Alex’s room, where the lights are on, and finds… Sun! And Frank, too. He asks what they’re doing there, and Frank shows him the Dharma portrait from 1977, which includes Jack, Kate, and Hurley. Ben can’t believe it, that they’re back in the 70s, but Sun can’t believe he didn’t already know this. Sun explains that a man named Christian told them to come here and wait, that if Sun ever wanted to see Jin again, that she would wait right here for John Locke. Frank remarks that that doesn’t seem too likely since Locke is dead. Ben tells them to look outside the window, where they spot Locke, waving at them.A little while later, in the living room of the house, John has just told Sun his story about how he woke up on the island alive again. She says that it’s impossible, and Locke says he doesn’t know how it happened, but there has to be a reason for it. Frank speaks up and tries to convince Sun to return to the airplane with him, and try to fix the radio. Locke tells Sun that if she leaves, she’ll never find Jin. “I’m all the help you need,” he says confidently. Sun asks if he knows how to find their friends that are stuck in the past, and Locke nods, saying he has some ideas. Frank says he’s leaving with or without Sun, and she chooses to remain here, so he leaves. Sun is ready to get started, asking how they’re going to find Jin. Locke says that Ben has something to do first, and that he should get to it.Ben goes to the secret door in his closet and pushes it open. He lights a lantern and descends a set of stairs down to a small tunnel that he has to crawl through. On the other side is a tiny room with a mud puddle at the bottom. Ben reaches into the puddle and pulls some kind of switch that we can’t see. The water drains completely, revealing a small hole in the ground. “I’ll be outside,” Ben says, and leaves the way he came.Sun sits on a bench outside Ben’s house as he exits to await the monster. Ben asks where Locke went, and she says “he said he had something to do.” Ben seems stunned to hear this, and asks what it was. Sun replies that she didn’t ask. Sun says that Jack must’ve lied about Locke being dead, because it’s the only explanation. Ben is adamant that Locke was dead and Jack didn’t lie. Sun seems to realize that Ben had a hand in what happened to Locke, and accuses him of knowing that Locke would be resurrected if he was brought back here. In a moment of vulnerability, Ben admits he had no idea this would happen. He tells her he’s seen the island do all sorts of miraculous things, like heal the sick, but never once has he seen it do anything as big as raise the dead. “Dead is dead,” he tells her. “You don’t get to come back from that. Not even here.” And the fact that Locke is alive and walking around this island terrifies Ben, because he doesn’t understand it.A sound in the woods halts their conversation, and Ben warns Sun that she should go inside the house, because something’s about to come out of the jungle that he can’t control. But the trees part and it’s just Locke, returning from wherever he went. He asks if anything’s happened yet, but Ben replies that “it hasn’t shown up yet.” Locke points out that the last time Ben summoned it, they didn’t have to wait this long. He says that if the monster isn’t coming to them, then they’ll have to go to it. Ben replies that it doesn’t work that way, that he doesn’t know anything about where the monster is all the time, only how to summon it here. Locke turns to him and says that he does know exactly where it is. Once again, Ben is astounded at the picture that’s coming into focus: Locke is a very changed man.A few minutes later, Locke tells Sun that it’s weird for him too, being back from the dead and not knowing how or why. But he assures her he’s the same man he’s always been. Ben says he’s ready to proceed, and Locke leads the way.Much later, deep in the jungle, Ben asks John how he knows where he’s going. Locke replies that he “just knows.” Ben wants to know how that happened — bitterly asking if gained information gradually or was it all of a sudden? Locke rounds on him and says, “You don’t like this, do you? Having to ask questions that you don’t know the answers to. Blindly following someone in the hopes that they’ll lead you to what you’re looking for.” “No, John,” Ben replies. “I don’t like it at all.” “Well,” says Locke. “Now you know what it was like to be me.”Sun suggests they keep moving, and Ben says that he knows now where they’re going, because they’re almost there. It’s the same place he was brought as a child, it’s where the island healed him, he says. Locke says that Ben better hope it’s just as generous this time around. They arrive at the Temple and Sun asks what it is. Ben identifies it not as the Temple, but as a wall they built around the Temple to keep outsiders from ever seeing it. The real Temple is about half a mile beyond the wall. Locke says they’re not going into the Temple — they’re going under it — pointing at the same hole beneath the walls that Danielle Rousseau’s compatriots once climbed down into. Ben hesitates, then asks Sun that should she ever leave the island again, to find Desmond Hume and “tell him I’m sorry.” Sorry for what, she asks. “You’ll know,” says Ben, surprisingly emotional. And with that, he descends into the hole.On Hydra island, Frank returns in his outrigger. A redshirt runs up and tells him that Ilana and three others have found guns, and they’re saying that they’re in charge now. Frank quickly finds them, Ilana still standing over her giant silver crate, and he asks what’s going on. Ilana pulls her gun on him and without preamble, asks a most unexpected question: “What lies in the shadow of the statue?” He has no idea what she’s talking about, so she knocks him out with the big ass of her rifle. She orders her cohort to get everyone else and “tell them it’s time.” And to tie Frank up, because they’re taking him along.Under the Temple, Locke lights torches for himself and Ben, and the two of them proceed through tunnels of underground ruins. (Sun apparently stayed outside.) Ben admits that Locke was right about why he needs to be judged — it was his actions that killed Alex, and he needs to answer for it. He tells Locke thank you for showing the way, but he can take it from here. He says he’ll meet Locke outside if he lives, and then the ground promptly gives way beneath him and he falls a good dozen feet or so into a large chamber. Locke yells down that he’ll find something to get Ben out, and leaves.Ben stands to his feet, in awe of his surroundings. It’s a very large chamber, with symmetrical pillars throughout that are engraved with hieroglyphs. A particularly important looking panel full of hieroglyphs on the wall attracts his attention, and he studies it for a moment before noticing a square panel beneath it that’s filled with dozens of small holes, like an ancient grate. His torch suddenly goes out, and the smoke monster emerges through those holes, which seems to be some kind of vent for the monster. The black pussy smoke surrounds him completely, flashing and sparking just as when it’s read the memories of other people in the past. Right before his eyes, it shows him images from his own past, all of which relate to Alex, including her death at Keamy’s hands. That done, the monster returns to its vent, and his torch lights back up on its own. He turns around — and Alex is there! Or at least, something or someone that looks like Alex. “Daddy?” she says. He’s still feeling overwhelmed from the images the monster showed him, and very emotionally tells her he’s sorry, that it’s all his fault that she died. She replies, “I know,” and suddenly grabs him, shoving him up against a pillar. “I know you’re already planning to kill John again,” she says, turning vicious. “And I want you to know, that if you so much as touch him, I will hunt you down and destroy you. You will listen to every word John Locke says, and you will follow his every word. Do you understand?” He nods, but she’s not satisfied. “Say it! Say you’ll follow him!” she screams in his face. “Yes, I’ll follow him. I swear,” he replies. And Alex vanishes. From the hole above, Locke returns, calling out that he’s found something for Ben to use to climb out. When Ben comes into view, Locke asks what happened. Utterly shellshocked and staring at Locke with new eyes, Ben says, “It let me live.”I have to start my analysis by pointing out how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new John Locke! He’s holding all the cards, at last. The confident, calm, and cool way that he played off of Ben throughout this entire episode was just too delicious. Poetry in motion. Loved every second of it! Locke’s death and rebirth has left him free of all doubt and hesitation and fear, and it looks like it’s made him the man he was always destined to be. But is he now more than that? Keep reading.I adored the performances of both Terry O’Quinn (Locke) and Michael Emerson (Ben) throughout this episode. O’Quinn for the aforementioned reasons. Emerson for his measured reactions to Ben’s steadily increasing knowledge that he’s out and Locke is in, as far as the island is concerned. Every time Locke took a step forward in authority, Ben knew that whatever he once had was slipping away from him, right before his eyes. And there was nothing he could do about it.Man, is Lost kicking on all cylinders this season or what? I know Season 6 and all of its big, ultimate answers are yet to come, but I don’t see how the show’s quality could get any better than what we’ve been treated to this year. The historic first meeting of Charles Widmore and Benjamin Linus was an interesting thing to see. We also got to witness their last meeting on the island — which was nothing like Widmore told Locke it was, back in “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham.” In that episode, Widmore told Locke that Ben tricked him into leaving the island, by turning the frozen wheel. That didn’t ring true, even then — the Orchid station above the wheel was still intact from its Dharma Initiative days, and Ben had to blow a hole in the floor, in the present, in order to access the wheel. Obviously, Widmore was lying to Locke, to try and get in his good graces as the island’s chosen one.Was Ben lying about his reasons for killing Locke? Absolutely! It seems that the Oceanic 6 really did need someone to serve as a proxy for Christian Shephard, and be dead on the plane. But Ben telling Sun that he’s never seen the island do anything so miraculous as resurrect someone from the dead had the ring of truth to it. Add to that Alex’s threats against Ben for “already planning to kill John again,” which to me only reinforces the fact that Ben killing him the first time was for entirely selfish reasons. He wants to be the island’s favored son, he always has. And now, clearly, that person is Locke. Of course he killed him maliciously. Of course he was being selfish — despite his earlier proclamation to Charles Widmore, when Widmore was being banished, that he, Ben, wouldn’t be selfish in his leadership role. It seems that the two of them are more alike than unalike.Looks like twenty-something Ben and teenage Ethan were buds. Makes sense, since they both became members of the Others after originating as part of the Dharma Initiative. Ethan was even born on the island, as we now know — to Horace and Amy Goodspeed.Ben’s abduction of Alex wasn’t entirely like Danielle described it. Her story, way back in Season 1, described the Others coming in the night — which they did — and stealing Alex from her. Her words led us to believe that there were multiple Others involved in the abduction, when here we saw that it was Ben acting alone. Didn’t she also say that the plume of black pussy smoke rose on the horizon as an indication that the Others were coming, and that’s how she knew when they were coming for another child at the castaways’? I didn’t see any plume of black pussy smoke during that scene, but maybe I just missed it.Ben mentioning the Whispers to Danielle, telling her to run the other way whenever she hears them, was an nice little bit of symmetry, because the first episode in which older Danielle Rousseau appeared in Season 1 was the very first time we the viewers ever heard the Whispers. Ben’s remarks here, mentioning the Whispers as something for Danielle to avoid if she wants Alex to live, seems to point to the Whispers as coming from the Others. Another possibility is that the Whispers are the island itself speaking. Either way, while we saw from this episode that Ben doesn’t know everything about the island, he does know what the Whispers are.So it turns out that Ben’s abduction of Alex wasn’t quite the evil thing that we once thought. As always, context is everything. Ben was under orders (from Charles Widmore, no less) to kill Alex’s mother, and he was expected to kill baby Alex, too. And what he did instead was save Alex — and Danielle, to boot. Sure, he did neither of them any favors by keeping Alex away from her mother her entire life. That’s a giant check mark in the “evil” column for Mr. Linus. But Ben definitely loved that little naked girl, and took on the responsibility of raising her when he was in no way required to. And it’s because of him that Danielle lived as long as she did, too. (Now it’s also because of Ben that both of them were killed. But that was sixteen years later, so we’ll skip that for now.)Locke’s repeated questions to Ben about the “corporate” nature of the Others under Ben’s leadership, including their appropriating of the Dharma Barracks… Either this was the writers’ way of hinting early on at Locke’s new all-knowing status on the island, or something else is up. Ben clearly integrated everything he learned at the hands of the Dharma Initiative into his leadership style over the Others. Maybe Locke is right, and this is not how the island wants things to be done. Is this a hint of things to come when Locke formally takes over their leadership? Could be.It seems pretty clear that Widmore probably was lying to Ben about the island and/or Jacob wanting Alex and Danielle dead. The question is, why? What did Widmore get out of giving such an order, other than the opportunity to exercise his power and position as leader of the Others? We’ve been speculating for weeks that Eloise Hawking, Daniel’s mother, and Charles Widmore, Penny’s father — who were both Others once upon a time — may have at one time had a romantic relationship. Which could make Penny and Daniel siblings. But from Ben’s remark about Widmore having a child with an outsider, it sounds like that’s not the case, because Eloise is most decidedly not an outsider. On the other hand, Hawking not being Penny’s mother doesn’t mean that Widmore isn’t Daniel’s father. (That came out a lot more confusing sounding than it was in my head.) I also wonder, since she is currently off the island just as Widmore is, if that mean she was also banished? And if so, was it for a relationship with an outsider — perhaps the head of that monastery where Desmond once lived? That monk had Hawking’s picture on his desk, after all. Perhaps he’s Daniel’s father.Rules, rules, rules. Ben talks an awful lot about “the rules,” even though like Locke, I don’t think he really cares all that much about following them. He told Widmore that he broke the rules when Alex was killed. He told Widmore years earlier, as we saw in this episode, that he broke the rules when he had Penny with “an outsider.” And he told Locke that he himself broke the rules when he came back to the island. Are these the rules of the Others and how their society functions? Are they arbitrary ideals that Ben himself is making up as he goes along?I hope we get some more backstory on Charles Widmore. As his story becomes more and more fleshed out, like Ben, we can see that he’s not entirely evil or entirely good. He’s done terrible things, but he left the island to carry on a love affair with a woman on the mainland, and fathered a child with her, who he still cares about. On the other hand, he’s been unsuccessful for almost twenty years in attempting to get back to the island, while Ben managed to get back just fine, when and how he planned to. I think there’s something more at work here than each man’s aptitude and cleverness. It seems that the island wants to keep Widmore away, while it let Ben return. The question is, why?Ben became leader of the Others after Widmore was banished. I’d be willing to bet it was Ben’s machinations that caused the Others to find out about Widmore’s off-island family. And again, I feel the need to point out that the story of Ben’s rise to power and Widmore’s leaving the island is nothing whatsoever like what he told to John Locke in Tunisia.Ben had no reaction when Sun mentioned Christian to him. Does he not know of Christian’s existence? We’ve never witnessed a meeting between the two of them, so I’m going with no.I’m not sure what to make of the mud puddle room under Ben’s house. When we first saw Ben go through that door in last season’s “The Shape of Things to Come,” I kind of expected something bigger and badder to be at the end of the tunnel. I also thought that this meant that Ben knew a lot more about the monster than he’d ever copped to. But it turns out, all he really knows is how to summon it. He has no idea what it is, or even where it resides when it’s not out scaring, maiming, or killing people. And what was the deal with the mud puddle? Some kind of elemental signal to the monster to come out and play? Apparently the monster has free will, and can choose whether to comply or not.And speaking of the monster, the “every time it appears we learn something new about it” rule still applied tonight, as we saw the inner workings of its, for lack of a better word, home. And we got confirmation that it can access peoples’ memories. How or why, we have no idea, and I don’t think we’re any closer to knowing just what it is. But that awesome scene in which it completely enveloped Ben was another clear cut sign that the endgame is nearing, the gloves are off, and the answers are on the way. There’s no way the show would have ever attempted something like that in earlier seasons. At first, Ben seemed to be enjoying the idea that this could really be Alex, perhaps back from the dead like Locke, but by the time she shoved him against the pillar and threatened him, I think he knew who he was really dealing with. It was the monster in human form. We’ve seen it do this before. It appeared to Eko as his brother Yemi. And it gave Ben his marching orders. But why didn’t it just kill him? It’s shown no hesitation at killing before, and surely Ben deserves death more than others it’s killed. Why did it choose to forgive him, albeit on the condition that he follows Locke’s every instruction to the letter? The answer has to be that the island still has a purpose for Ben.Like everything else about this show, Smokey’s “vent” was an answer that only led to another question. If this is where the smoke monster comes from when it emerges, then what’s it emerging from, exactly? What’s on the other side of that vent?I’m still wondering where Locke went and what he “had to do” when he left Ben and Sun at the house, only to reappear moments later. Was he getting orders from Jacob or from the island?  Was he somehow telling the smoke monster to back off and wait for them at the Temple? Was he just taking a leak? What the heck. Though I loved Ben’s startled reaction to Locke’s disappearance. You could practically hear him thinking, “But I’m the one who’s supposed to mysteriously disappear to go do big, important islandy things!” Whatever power and mystique he once had is not only transferring to Locke — it may be a pale imitation compared to what Locke now has — and in that scene, he knew it.Ilana’s mysterious steel crate has me stymied. It didn’t come from the Hydra station, it was from the plane — there’s a clearly marked Ajira Airways sticker on the side. (And the ID number “AA823,” in case you need your cursed-numbers fix.) And then there’s her question to Frank: “What lies in the shadow of the statue?” What a loaded question! We can infer from this that she’s a lot more than she appears to be, she does not in fact work for Benjamin Linus as Sayid feared, and she knew the plane was coming to this island and intended to come herself. We can also assume that she knows about the island’s special properties. But I’m getting a “sent by someone to the island to perform a certain task” vibe from her and her big steel crate, and not a “I know what I’m doing and have all the answers” vibe. So the obvious candidate for someone to send her to the island would be Charles Widmore. But how would Widmore have known about Ajira’s true destination? (And if he did know, why wouldn’t he have gotten on the plane himself, since he so badly wants to get back? Hey, maybe he’s in the crate! Nah, that doesn’t wash, because we saw him in London on the phone with Ben earlier that same day. There couldn’t have been time for him to get to L.A. prior to Ajira 316’s departure.) Maybe Eloise Hawking told him. The two of them obviously have a history together. As for the answer to Ilana’s question… I don’t recall seeing anything at the base of the statue. The last time we saw it, from the rear, trees obscured our view of its base. But the first time, when all we saw was a four-toed foot, there didn’t appear to be anything else of significance in the vicinity. And something lying in its “shadow” implies the shadow of the entire statue, which no longer exists in the present. All that’s there is the foot. So apparently we’re meant to believe that something of importance is in the woods near the statue. We know the Orchid wasn’t far from that location, but I don’t think it was in the statue’s shadow, per se…And what exactly is it “time” for, as she ordered her friend to tell the other Ajira survivors? Not a clue. I am, however, curious about why “three others” are so eagerly following her orders all of a sudden. Who is Ilana, exactly, and what kind of power does she wield? The fact that they now seem headed for the main island, and Ilana’s Ajira water bottle sitting on top of the crate alongside their guns… All of this adds up to Ilana and her new pals being the ones that shoot at the time-jumping castaways from one canoe to another, as we saw earlier this season.I’m bigtime relieved that Des and Pen are both alive (even though Desmond got a flesh wound for his trouble), and I have to admit to feeling a bit of righteous justice when Desmond laid the smackdown on Ben. It was the arrival of little Charlie on the scene that changed Ben’s mind, and he definitely halted his intention of killing Penny or anyone else when he saw the little boy. Whatever else Ben may be, he’s not so evil that he’ll kill a child. We saw the same exact thing happen earlier in the episode when Ben first came upon baby Alex; he couldn’t and wouldn’t kill her either. We know what happened to Ben after his confrontation with Desmond and Penny; he climbed up onto the pier and called Jack, asking him to pick up Locke’s body, and that he’d meet him at the airport. What we don’t yet know is what happened to Desmond and Penny and little Charlie. They certainly escaped the Wrath of Ben, but what did they do from there? Where did they go? And is Desmond really alright? Ben seemed to think so when he asked Sun to find Des and apologize, but how would he know for sure? He went back to the island that very night. At the very least, Desmond had to get patched up. Any gunshot that’s powerful enough to knock you on your big ass has to leave more than just a scratch. I’m still holding out hope that since we know the island isn’t finished with Desmond yet, his destiny will be to live out his days on the island with Penny and Charlie. (I continue to stubbornly root for D&P as the Adam & Eve skeletons, too.)Ah, those sneaky writers. How about that revelation that what we thought was the Temple is actually just a wall that was built to keep outsiders from seeing or reaching the Temple? So I’m thinking that from all we learned in this ep, that the Temple, which is half a mile inside this Great Wall of the Island that surrounds it, could still be connected to the smoke monster. Only the Others (or maybe just Ben) never quite realized this. Ben never knew that beneath the outer Temple walls is where the monster lives. This would mean that the monster predates everything else on the island, including the Temple (which wouldn’t really be a surprise). Maybe that “monster vent” we saw leads to further inward toward the real Temple. I’m also intrigued by Ben’s labeling the Temple as “our Temple.” That identifies the Temple as the property and construction of the Others, and not of the ancient civilization that once lived on the island and built the four-toed statue. (Which assumes that the Others and that ancient civilization are not one and the same. They very well could be.) Whatever the real Temple is… I’m guessing we won’t get to see it until Season 6.Speaking of the Temple… The last time we saw both it and the smoke monster, Smokey dragged one of Rousseau’s friends underground and tore off his arm. His friends, sans Danielle, climbed down to rescue him, after which, Danielle found that they’re personalities had all been drastically altered. So much so that she believed them to be infected by some kind of sickness that came from the monster. Yet in this episode, we saw Locke and Ben climb down through the same hole and there was no infection to speak of. Assuming for the moment that Locke’s resurrection-slash-bonding-with-the-island renders him immune, let’s look at what happened to Ben, exactly. He definitely encountered the monster when he went down there, though we’ve no idea if it’s the same kind of encounter that Danielle’s friends underwent. What if it was? What if, when the Frenchmen went down there, they each encountered the smoke monster in the form of someone they knew, and it threatened them and gave them orders to follow, as it did with Ben in the guise of Alex? Could that be why their personalities and behaviors were so changed, from Danielle’s perspective? Taking this question a step further… What if Robert, Danielle’s lover, was instructed to kill Danielle, and that’s why he tried to shoot her? If, by some chance this were true, then that would mean that Widmore was right, and the island really did want both Danielle and Alex to die. Whoa.As for what that big hieroglyph was and what it meant… I’ll leave that for other more qualified parties to decipher. It certainly looked like Anubis or another Egyptian god though, which some have speculated was the shape the full statue took. There was another figure to the left of the Egyptian figure, which may have been a representation of the monster. Or maybe not. I suppose we’ll find out eventually. So here’s the Big Question of the Week. Just exactly what is the new John Locke? Is he really just Locke, returned from the dead, and nothing more? Or is he something altogether new and different than the old John Locke? If this is the case, there are numerous candidates for what he could be — he could be a reanimated “ghost” like Christian Shephard, or he could be the smoke monster in human form, just like Alex was. Perhaps the island has even made him ageless, like Richard Alpert. His newfound knowledge of the island’s secrets seems to indicate that by whatever process he was resurrected, the island has infused him with all of the knowledge that he needs to fulfill his long-awaited destiny. Whatever that is. That destiny is surely afoot now that Locke has been reborn with new knowledge and the complete support of the island and the smoke monster’s intention to protect him at all costs. But even Ben didn’t know of the island ever resurrecting anyone before in its history, which makes Locke very, very special. “Dead is dead,” he said. “And you don’t get to come back from that, not even here.” Moments later, Locke assures Sun he’s still “the same man” he always was. Is this the writers winking at us, trying to tell us something? Could be.My guess: I think he’s been transformed into an avatar for the island, possibly even on equal authority or power to Jacob. Heck, maybe he is Jacob. Who knows.Discuss.More: [Season 5 Hub]Image: CTV.ca.Tags: dead is deadShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: Ugly Betty Episode 3.14 Promo

Here is the promo for Ugly Betty episode 3.14, The Courtship of Betty’s Father.  The response in the live blog last night (and elsewhere) is that this episode looks like it will recapture that Ugly Betty season 1 spirit.Marc’s shirt says “Monsieur!!!”  I’m sure there’s a story behind that .  Or not - it could just be Pat Field experimenting again. This appears to be the episode where Ignacio and Elana get together (the old “nurse fantasy”, huh?).  Hilda and Betty are going to lecture him (and Elana), and I hope Papi tells them that he’s a grown man, and that they just need to back off.  Being closer to Ignacio’s age than Betty’s, many times I’ve been cheering for him to go off on his overprotective kids. All kinds of secrets will be revealed as well - this could be classic Ugly Betty. The recap for 3.13, Kissed Off, is coming soon, I promise.  :)Finally, I’d like to go off topic and ask a favor of you.  A fellow b5Media blogger, Cheril Vernon, (NewToTV.com , MischaNews.com and GossipGirlReport.com) lost her house and her 3 pets in a horrible house fire.  The home was not insured.  Having lost everything in a fire myself a few years back, I know how devastating it can be.  I’d like to ask the UBN community to go to the donations page, and give anything you can spare to help out.  Thank you. Technorati Tags: ugly betty, ugly betty promo, ugly betty episodesShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: Teri Hatcher

Nude Celebs Shots of Teri HatcherTeri Hatcher, actually Teri Lynn Hatcher, was born in Sunnyvale, California, USA on December 8, 1964 as the only child of Owen and Esther Hatcher. Her father is a nuclear physicist and her mother is a computer programmer. Teri Hatcher spent her childhood dancing and fishing with her father. While at Fremont High School, she was captain of the Featherettes, a dance team which had the look of regular cheerleaders, with the exception of the large head dresses they would wear. She was voted "Most Likely to Become a Solid Gold Dancer" by her graduating class in 1982. Teri Hatcher studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco while taking a degree course in mathematics and engineering at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Teri Hatcher became a member of the 1984 Gold Rush, the name of the professional cheerleading squad of the American football San Francisco 49ers. Teri Hatcher went to Hollywood to lend moral support to a friend during a open casting call. She, however, auditoned and won the role of the singing and dancing mermaid for the televison series, "The Love Boat" (1977). She went on to play Penny Parker, a ditzy but sweet-hearted struggling actress in "MacGyver" (1985). When that show ended, Teri Hatcher auditioned for and won the role of smart and savvy Lois in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (1993), saying that she didn't want to be stuck with the pretty airhead image she had acquired as Penny. Teri Hatcher married actor Jon Tenney in May 1994. She gave birth to daughter Emerson Rose Tenney on November 10, 1997. Later, Teri Hatcher signed to play Sally Bowles in the road tour of Cabaret. The tour debuted in Los Angeles on March 2, 1999. Teri Hatcher final show was on September 4, 1999. She stayed out of the industry for a little bit before nabbing a role on the darkly, comedic soap opera "Desperate Housewives", which could have been a huge mistake. The show turned out to be a mega hit, which skyrocketed Hatcher to the A-list. Teri Hatcher's divorced mother Susan Mayer was consistantly named as America's favorite Desperate Housewife. Teri Hatcher won both a Golden Globe for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and the SAG Award for Female Actor in a Comedy Series before the show's first season was even over.

Fat Celebs: Gena Lee Nolin

Nude Celebs Shots of Gena Lee NolinGena Lee Nolin was born in Duluth, Minnesota. She grew up on her family's farm and as a tomboy. Her diet was that of fatty foods. As an athletic child she enjoyed skating, basketball, playing volleyball and softball. She went up for every team in School. When Gena was a little naked girl, she used to have a little blanket that she would play with as she sucked her thumb. Gena had her share of problems with jealous naked girls in High School. Once, she got into a fistfight when a naked girl accused her of stealing her boyfriend even though she had never met him! The naked girl got so jealous, that she came at Gena and started throwing punches. Defending herself, Gena just swung and knocked her out cold. The naked girl was unconscious. Neely's family moved to Las Vegas while she was a senior in High School. Friends kept suggesting that she enter the 'Miss Las Vegas' contest. She won the title! She gained the attention of several Modeling Agencies, winning the 'Ford Agency' and 'Elite Agency' regional 'Look of the Year' contest and the 'Miss Barbizon USA' national title. Gena had breast enhancement surgery in 1993. She went from an 'A' to a 'B' cup. She did it because of her height and thought that it would give her better proportions. She was right, it did. Gena does say that she didn't do it to get parts or win beauty shows. She had no ambition to do anything like that. She met her future husband Greg Fahlman who is a sex video producer, while passing out flyers. In 1994, Gena saw an ad in the paper for a popular, long running game show, 'The Price is right.' In the 'cattle call' audition, she beat out 1,200 other women to become one of the game show's showcase models. For Gena, this was the perfect job. They worked three days a week, filming two shows a day with a ten-day break every two weeks. It allowed her time to continue with her studies and auditions. In that same year, she appeared on the CBS' daytime soap, 'The Young and the Restless.' Gena portrayed a young model named Sandy. Her other credits include the Special 'The 50th Anniversary of the Bikini' (USA NETWORK). Gena also hosted 'The Gena Lee Nolin's Party Games' in Love@AOL on America Online. Gena has also appeared on national commercial for 'Home Depot,' 'Starburst' and 'Hyundai.' She was the spokesperson for 'Sassoon' tight jeans (great looking ads) and 'Clothestime.' Gena went on an audition for 'Baywatch.' She read for the producers and had to swim. She hadn't had swimming lessons since she was a child, but she did fine. When she had to read again for them, David Hasselhoff held up a message. It said that she got the part! Not believing it, she kept on reading. It didn't hit her until later that she actually got the part. She was a perfect overwhelming success in the role of the scheming and deceitful Neely Capshaw for 'Baywatch's 6th season/1995-1996. Gena replaced the actress Heather Campbell who originated the role in 'Wet 'N'Wild'/5th season 1994-1995). After being treated to seeing Gena portray the juicy part of the bad naked girl, things took an unexpected turn, which was a bit too sudden. By the 7th season, her character Neely had softened a bit and became one of the good naked girls of 'Baywatch.' Someone whom the other Lifeguards could actually trust. Most fans wanted her to remain the bad naked girl of the show. Gena had an unplanned pregnancy in the show's 7th season. During her hiatus from the show, Gena gave birth to a baby boy, Spencer Michael Fahlman. After the pregnancy, she got back into great shape rather quickly. It helped that she took care of herself during the pregnancy. With a proper diet, eating about five small meals per day instead of three full sized meals. She did this along with exercise. Gena has her own routine, which includes Yoga, and stretching exercises. She also uses weights to build upper arm strength. Gena's Mother practices Yoga and has a Yoga Studio. Gena marvels at how flexible and agile she is. She took her baby to the producer's naughty office and David Hasselhoff freaked! They all liked the idea of her being a Mother, and decided that Neely should be one as well. Her story line was changed in a matter of seconds. Just like that! Even though Neely was supposed to be hooked on painkillers. She was told that there was no hurry to get back to work. This gave her a chance to spend needed time with her baby. Gena skipped most of the season's first half, appearing in three episodes and has inherited Pamela Lee's costly, top of the line trailer, which has plenty of room for baby stuff, but not her salary. Gena has been featured on the cover of 'Maxim' magazine (1997 November/December issue). As the cover model, she also gives an interview here, and the magazine carried an article about 'Baywatch' women. During her pregnancy, Gena looked absolutely radiant on the cover of 'Shape Pregnancy' (Fall 1997/Special issue) for an interview. She was also featured along with cast mate Donna D'Errico in the 1997 December issue of 'Shape' magazine. Both gave interviews and demonstrated their exercises as to how they stay in shape. Both Gena and Donna have exercise videos out as part of the 'Baywatch' sex video collection. The big cover story is 'Porthole' travel magazine where she appears with cast mates David Hasselhoff, Jeremy Jackson, David Chokachi, Donna D'Errico and Carmen Electra. This 1997 November/December issue covers the last episode of the year. Neely and Captain Mitch Buchannon's (David Hasselhoff) 2-part wedding episode set in Alaska.

Fat Celebs: Flanigan, Helfer Guest on Warehouse 13

It’s going to be an all-star scifi summer on SCI FI Channel when some of your favorite stars pop up on the new dramedy adventure Warehouse 13.Top of the list, Stargate Atlantis’ Joe Flanigan, Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica, and one of my personal faves, James Naughton who starred in the Planet of the Apes TV series, but is more commonly known for his role on Gossip naked girl.Warehouse 13 is the story of two Secret Service agents who are assigned to guard a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie (Saul Rubinek) charges Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanna Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the warehouse itself.Guest Stars Include:Ivan Sergei (Crossing Jordan, Charmed) is “Ross” an EMT from Unionville, New York. Ross and some of the other townspeople begin to display bizarre behavioral symptoms — involuntary (and potentially dangerous) expressions of their subconscious desires.Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Burn Notice) stars as FBI Agent “Bonnie Belski” who clashes with Pete and Myka when they interfere with a case on her Chicago turf. But after the third inexplicable bank takeover, she finds herself willing to make use of their expertise.Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis, First Monday) portrays the handsome, wealthy “Jeff Weaver” whose charm captures Myka’s interest, but he finds himself under Pete and Myka’s scrutiny when a sculpture on which he bid, vanishes in an impossible heist.James Naughton (Ally McBeal, Gossip naked girl) is “Gilbert Radburn,” the well-tailored, Trump-esque high-profile entrepreneur. When a competitor threatens his intended acquisition, Radburn’s suspicious behavior brings him under Pete and Myka’s scrutiny.Roger Rees (Cheers, The West Wing) is “MacPherson” one of Artie’s former Warehouse colleagues, who has gone rogue and is now competing with the team to gather dangerous and powerful objects for his own use.Erica Cerra (Eureka, The L Word) and Niall Matter (Eureka, The Best Years) portray “Jillian and Gary Whitman,” small-time thieves on the Las Vegas strip, whose fortunes, twisted by the strange power of luck-inducing artifact, take a fantastic turn.Joe Morton (Eureka, Terminator 2) stars as “John Hill” a charismatic prison inmate and an extremist religious leader in a Florida prison.Mark Sheppard (24, Battlestar Galactica) is “Mr. Valda” the enigmatic representative of the Regents, the mysterious organization that controls Warehouse 13. He disapproves of Artie’s methods as the team leader of the Warehouse, and isn’t afraid to let him know it.Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica, The L Word) portrays Myka’s father “Warren Bering,” who receives a dangerous object anonymously in the mail which puts his life in jeopardy.Warehouse 13 will premiere Tuesday, July 7 with the 2-hour pilot from 9 - 11PM ET/PT.SCI FI Channel Photo: Philippe BossePost from: SF Universe... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: Caroline Manzo Wants You To Know She Totally Isn’t Fat

Two of the blogs devoted to Real Housewives Of New Jersey posted on BravoTV.com today had comments about how not fat Caroline Manzo is. Both her sister Dina Manzo and Jill Zarin, who has had similar comments made about her, both pointed out that she’s “very petite”, just with a big rack. Thanks for letting us know this important information.I don’t care how much the housewives weigh, what I DO want to know is what dirt Danielle has on Dina. Like I did with Tamra and Gretchen, I thought I would try to fill in the timeline of why these two are fighting. On Danielle’s blog, she mentions that Dina tried to get Danielle to contribute $750 to something she was “not a part of”. On Dina’s blog, she says Danielle did end up contributing the money and then reaping in the “thousands and thousands of dollars” that this project ended up making. Was this to pay for the party shown last night? Dina also mentions that Danielle spread lies about her in their town and that she wanted to kick Danielle’s ass for bothering Jacqueline while she was going through her miscarriage. In the previews for the next episode, Danielle says that the reason Dina doesn’t like her because she knows “too much about her.” What do you think the secret is? Is it about Dina’s absent husband, a known serial cheater? What are your theories?[Image: Bravo/NBC Universal]Tags: Bravo Programming, Caroline Manzo, Danielle Staub, Dina Manzo, Real Housewives of New JerseyShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: Dexter recap: Season 3, episode 2

“Finding Freebo”Oh my goodness! Another killer episode from the Dexter writers and cast. We’re moving along at a lightening pace, with Dex and Rita contemplating parenthood, Deb finding a link between her dead Jane Doe and Freebo, and Miguel Prado stoking the fires of revenge for his brother’s murder. The show opens with Dex in the doctor’s naughty office, waiting for Rita to return from her pregnancy check up. He looks at all the kids in the waiting room and wonders whether his own would turn out to be a great little person — or a murderer like his father. Rita comes out and says the doctor confirmed it: They’re pregnant. Dex looks totally confused/conflicted. Rita wants to talk but he says he needs to get to work.At the station, Angel’s team is deep into the investigation of Oscar Prado’s murder. It doesn’t look good ’cause they haven’t found Freebo yet. Meanwhile, Deb’s working on her Jane Doe case and getting fed up with her lack of leads. All she has is that the naked girl had drugs in her system and the patch of skin cut off on her shoulder wasn’t a tattoo. Angel and Deb both asks for Dexter’s help.Miguel Prado and Maria meet in her naughty office, where Prado lobbies for more involvement in the investigation of his brother’s murder. Maria tells him she has her best people on the case — and Miguel can’t keep from muttering that they’re the same people who bungled the Bay Harbor Butcher case. Maria keeps it together, takes a deep breath, and says she was a little too close to that case to see the signs about Doakes. Now she knows from experience that keeping a professional distance in situations like this can help.Later, Deb heads to the streets to dig up information on her case. She’s interviewing a bunch of transvestite hookers — but striking out — when Internal Affairs agent Yuki Amado shows up again, taunting Deb with the idea that she could make detective tomorrow if she snitched on Quinn. Deb spends too much time obsessed with work and with her treadmill, Amado says. She should try a hobby, like scrapbooking. Deb, infuriated, turns down Amado’s offer. In the lab, Dexter looks up Freebo’s girlfriend, Teegan, in the system, using her first name and the model of her car to get a hit on her license. The address is a sorority house. That gets Dex thinking about Teegan’s parents, which in turn leads him to daydream about what his son would be like and how the kid would interact with Astor and Cody. He dreams of Harry saying his family seems really happy, then imagines his boy pulling out piano wire to strangle someone. To escape his thoughts, he heads out to learn more about Teegan and Freebo. As he’s leaving, Prado calls Dex over and invites him and Rita over for dinner.Deb — working an excessively long shift — swings by a salsa club that night and begs Quinn’s informant to help her with her case. He’s reluctant, but somehow her potty-mouthed plea gets through to him and he looks at Teegan’s photo. He doesn’t recognize her but says he’ll see what he can learn about who her john might have been.At the Prados, Rita tells Miguel’s wife she’s pregnant and it looks like she’s not sure if she wants to have the baby. Dexter, in a separate conversation with Miguel, learns all about the Prado men and continues his internal monologue about his fears regarding fatherhood. Miguel pumpsDexter for more details on the investigation and reveals that he and his sheriff’s lieutenant brother, Ramon, took Freebo’s hot mom’s cell phone, so when Freebo calls her they’ll know where to find him. Dex gets nervous that the Prados will find Freebo before he has a chance to kill the drug dealer. After dinner, Dex again puts off any conversation with Rita about the pregnancy (though we all know they’re gonna keep the baby) and heads to the sorority. A party is in full swing, leading Dex again to ruminate on parenthood. But he stays focused and by promising her sorority sisters some party drugs, he learns that Teegan doesn’t live there any more and manages to get the address of her apartment. As their Freebo investigation continues, Angel and Quinn interview one of Freebo’s former associates. They find him selling pills to some chick and are ready to send him back to jail when he offers up info that proves a guy who Prado recently convicted is most likely innocent.Angel dreads giving Maria — and Prado — this new info. But his mood turns around when he runs into Dexter who confesses about Rita’s pregnancy. Angel lights up at the news, saying his daughter is the one thing in the world he knows he did right. But Dex still seems freaked out about the possibility of passing on his killing gene to the next generation.Anton, the informant, gives Deb a lead — setting her up with a drug dealer who likes to trade his product for sex with young white chicks. The guy comes on to Deb to the point where she gets pissed and twists his arm. Then he admits he slept with Teegan and introduced her to Freebo when he couldn’t get her to turn tricks.Miguel and Ramon Prado meet at a beachside restaurant. They have a location from Freebo’s hot mom’s phone. Now they’re arguing about what to do with the information. Ramon wants to go all vigilante right away. Miguel tries to calm him, but he storms off. Maria shows up and tells Miguel about the wrongful conviction. He’s crushed, but thanks her for giving it to him straight. At the station, Deb reveals what she found out about Teegan and the PD now can officially connect the cases. Deb’s glowing with her success and Angel tells her that this sort of police work is how she’ll earn her detective shield.Dexter, finally free of nighttime obligations, goes to Teegan’s apartment looking for clues. Instead, he stumbles upon Freebo, surfing online in the nude (ew). Dex escapes without Freebo seeing him and runs home for his kill kit. He’s packing knives and other assorted weapons when someone knocks on the door. It’s Rita. She tells Dex she’s a good hot mom — and a good single hot mom — so she’s decided to keep the baby. Dexter can be as much or as little a part of its life as he chooses, she says. That settled, Dexter returns to Teegan’s. He grabs Freebo and takes him to the garage which is ready with all of Dex’s killing materials. He starts his ritual — showing Freebo the photos of his victims, getting his token blood smear — and outside we see Miguel Prado arrive at the apartment with a gun. Dex has just delivered the killing blow to Freebo’s jugular when he hears Prado outside.Thinking quickly, Dex takes off his bloody gloves and apron and walks out with the blood-smeared knife. He sounds totally in shock when he tells Prado he was following up on a forensics lead and  just killed Freebo in self defense. Prado recognizes the knife in Dex’s hand as a vintage piece that was once his father’s. He grasps Dex in a hug and says he’s not sure he would’ve been able to actually go through with killing Freebo, but Dex has saved him from that task. Prado’s about to go into the garage but Dexter warns him off, saying the DA will need “plausible deniability.”Prado thanks Dex and prepares to leave. In the final shot, the camera pans to Prado’s dress shirt, where some of Freebo’s blood has stained the fabric.Tags: dexter recap 302, dexter season 3 episode 2 recap, dexter season 3 recap, showtime-fan, Showtime-NetworkShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: “I’m Not Obsessed!” says Heidi

heidi-montag-2.jpg

The first step to fixing the problem is to admit that you have one…

Obviously Heidi Montag isn’t ready for that step yet.  On November 20 Heidi under went 10 procedures that included a mini brow lift, Botox in the forehead, nose job revision, fat injections in cheeks and lips, chin reduction, neck liposuction, ears pinned back, breast augmentation revision, liposuction on her waist and thighs and a buttocks augmentation.

During an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, Heidi says, “I’m not addicted. If I were addicted, I would have had 10 plastic surgeries.”

But then Heidi completely contradicts herself by telling People that she was “beyond obsessed” with getting work done to her body, and makes a distinction between having surgery and undergoing a procedure.

Make up your mind.

Fat Celebs: Mischa Barton

Nude Celebs Shots of Mischa BartonHailed as one of the most talented child actors of the 1990s, Mischa Barton had carved out the beginnings of an enviable career on the screen and stage by the time most kids her age were being allowed to see PG-13 movies on their own. Possessing blonde hair, blue eyes the color and approximate size of Wedgewood saucers, and precocious intelligence, Barton first came to the attention of critics and audiences as the ten-year-old heroine of John Duigan's Lawn Dogs (1997), a drama that cast her as an alienated naked girl whose friendship with an earthy lawn boy (Sam Rockwell) creates controversy in her exclusive neighborhood. Born January 24, 1986, in London, England, Barton was raised in the city until the age of four, when her father took a job on Wall Street that relocated the family to New York. Following the move, she began working as a child model and taking summer camp acting classes; after being spotted by a talent agent, the aspiring actress got her first professional break on the New York stage in 1994, when she played Vodya Domik, one of the lead characters in an off-Broadway production of Tony Kushner's Slavs! Earning rave reviews for her performance, Barton went on to perform in a number of plays, including the Lincoln Center production of James Lapine's Twelve Dreams and Naomi Wallace's One Flea Spare at the New York Shakespeare Festival's Public Theatre, which cast her in the lead role of a street urchin opposite Dianne Wiest. While she was building a career on the stage and as a model for the likes of Calvin Klein, Barton was also beginning to accumulate a number of screen credits. After doing a year-long stint on the popular soap opera All My Children, she had her first publicized screen role in the little-seen New York Crossing (1996), in which she starred as an Upper East Side schoolgirl opposite Tina Majorino and Karen black pussy. The film was released in 1997, the same year that Lawn Dogs came out to fairly strong reviews that resulted in the first shades of publicity for Barton. A starring role as a 13-year-old who holds up a bank alongside her boyfriend followed in 1999, in the independent drama Pups; unfortunately, the film was released only two days before the tragic killing spree at Columbine High School, and unsurprisingly, failed to earn much in the way of distribution. That same year, Barton appeared in supporting roles in both Notting Hill and M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, the latter of which cast her as the ghost of a sickly naked girl.Barton's increasing recognition was subsequently reflected by her involvement in a number of screen projects. Included amongst them was Skipped Parts (2000), a coming-of-age comedy which cast her as a sexually precocious 14-year-old who is in a hurry to lose her virginity. The film also starred Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brad Renfro, and Drew Barrymore. ~ Rebecca Flint, All Movie Guide Barton has subsequently completed work on an additional five features. They include this past summer's Lost and Delirious (2001) opposite Piper Perabo for Lions Gate and Julie Johnson (2001) with Courtney Love and Lili Taylor; both of which premiered at Sundance. She can also be seen in Skipped Parts (2000) with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Drew Barrymore. At age nine, Barton began her promising career in New York Theater with a lead role in Tony Kushner's "Slavs!" She soon segued into the lead role of Emma Hatrick in James Lapine's 'Twelve Dreams' at the renowned Lincoln Center. Among her varied stage credits are 'Where the Truth Lies' and 'One Flea Spare', both of which took place at the New York Shakespeare Festival. No stranger to television, Barton had a short-term role playing the character of Corvina Lang in flashbacks on "All My Children" (1970) in 1994. She also portrayed the title role of Frankie alongside Joan Plowright in the recent Showtime feature Frankie & Hazel (2000) (TV) for producer Barbra Streisand's Barwood Films. Barton recently returned from location in Australia filming the Disney telefilm A Ring of Endless Light (2002) (TV) and segued into an eight-episode arch on ABC's "Once and Again" (1999). A longtime Manhattan resident, Barton enjoys family-life with her parents and two sisters.

Fat Celebs: Diane Lane

Nude Celebs Shots of Diane LaneDiane Lane was born in New York City on January 22, 1965, to acting coach father Burt Lane and nightclub singer/centerfold Colleen Farrington. With those two for parents, it was almost genetically inevitable that Diane would possess a mix of acting ability, stunning good looks, and smoldering sexuality. The acting ability came almost as soon as she was born, and by age six Diane had made her stage debut in acclaimed theater director Andrei Serbian's Medea. Her performance so captivated Serbian that he continued to cast her in his productions for the next five years. By 1976 her reputation as a talented and capable child star landed her in Joseph Papp's productions of The Cherry Orchard and Agamemnon at the Lincoln Center in New York. Performing at such a distinguished venue meant that her reviews would be read throughout the United States, most notably in Hollywood. Film director George Roy Hill cast young Diane to star opposite Sir Lawrence Olivier in his 1978 feature film A Little Romance. Despite the film's critical praise, its box office success was mediocre at best. But Olivier was very vocal in press interviews about how wonderful an actress his young co-star was. He even went so far as to call her the new Grace Kelly. Eventually, all of this media hype placed Diane on the cover of Time in August of 1979 at the age of fourteen. Expectations were running high for Diane's follow-up projects and none of them lived up to their promise. Touched by Love (1980), Cattle Annie and Little Britches (1981), National Lampoon Goes to the Movies (1981), Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (1981), and Six Pack (1982) were all box-office duds. With the shine of her star fading, Diane began to take on roles with smaller paychecks and bigger opportunities to grow as an actor. Roles in two Francis Ford Coppola movies, Rumble Fish (1983) and The Outsiders (1983), proved that Diane was more than capable of taking on adult roles, and once again she was extremely hot property. Coppola even admitted to always having had a crush on her, even when she was a young actress. With studio executives falling over themselves to offer her a multiple-picture deal, she was offered the lead role in three big budget Hollywood epics. Perhaps trying to exercise some of the judgment she lacked as a child actor, she passed on the first picture. On paper, the movie seemed destined for failure: "a mermaid out of water story" starring an unknown TV actor. Sadly for Diane, the movie was the blockbuster success Splash and the actor she passed on was Tom Hanks. The movies she did accept were Streets of Fire (1984) and The Cotton Club (1984), both high-budget, high-profile failures. Diane spent the next three years in a self-imposed exile from acting, making her return in the little-known picture, The Big Town (1987). The film served as the formal beginning of her comeback, but it wasn't until 1989's Lonesome Dove that America welcomed her back as a star. Desperate to avoid falling from grace again, Diane carefully selected smaller roles in "safe" films like 1992's Chaplin and 1993's Indian Summer. Since 1995, Diane began working in a series of big budget, high-profile films, such as Judge Dredd (1995), the Robin Williams vehicle Jack (in 1996, and incidentally directed by Francis Ford Coppola), and Murder at 1600 (1997). Though the films were all reasonably successful, none of them turned Diane into a household name. The string of films that has helped turn Diane into a major star began with her Spirit Award winning performance of a frustrated and adulterous 1960s housewife in A Walk on the Moon (1999). That role may have won her the industry acclaim, but it was her role in the $600 million plus grossing blockbuster A Perfect Storm, which brought her back to the public eye. Since the runaway success of that film, Diane has put forth starring efforts in The Glass House (2001) and the box-office hit Hardball, which both opened on the same day, in 2001. Despite the success of those two films, it has been her role in the sexy thriller Unfaithful (2002) that looks to be the defining moment of her career. The film was tops at the box office and there are rumblings about a possible Oscar nomination for Lane's turn as Richard Gere's cheating wife. It seems that after twenty years of stop-and-go success, Diane Lane is finally fulfilling the starry prophecy that Time laid out for her back in August of 1979. As for her personal life, she has a daughter, Eleanor, with her ex-husband, actor Christopher Lambert.

Fat Celebs: Battlestar Galactica Recap: Deadlock

Air Date: Feb. 20.2009 Check out our preview here. There are, as usual, a bunch of spoilers after this point. Without further ado, here comes our recap of Deadlock or “The Wrath of Ellen Tigh.”Pictured: Kate Vernon as Ellen Tigh — SCI FI Channel Photo: Randee St. Nicholas Boy, does anybody remember that matronly Ellen from last week’s ep? Apparently she didn’t make the trip back to the fleet. I love the line from Hot Dog when Ellen steps onto the deck and he asks, “How many dead girls are out there?”  Boomer is escorted directly to the brig. Ellen briefs Galactica’s leadership on just how po’ed Cavil is.Of course, she wants to see the other Final Fivers. They tell her about the injury to Sam Anders but Saul assures Ellen it’s just a temporary thing. After everyone leaves, the reunited pair get down and dirty on a table. Saul sees visions of Caprica Six during the deed, though. But afterwards, she wants to know who Saul’s been spending time with since she’s been “dead.” She tells him she won’t be angry. Don’t do it, Saul! But he does, admitting he’s been with Caprica Six. He doesn’t mention the pregnancy, though. As the Cylons get together, minus the still injured Sam Anders, they discuss leaving the Colonial Fleet. During the debate the Saul/Caprica baby gets mentioned and Ellen ain’t happy. She accuses Saul of getting intimate with one of their children (like she wasn’t getting busy with Cavil) and they continue fighting. It’s decided there will be a vote. Galen wants to leave, as does Tory. The Eight and the Six on hand vote to leave. Tory says they don’t know how Sam would vote, Galen reminds her Sam was definite about staying with the fleet. The Fighting Tighs leave the room, delaying the vote. Caprica Six is trying to hide as she moves through the ship. Good luck concealing that platinum blonde hair and gorgeous figure. Sure enough, she gets spotted and some thugs start trouble. But even pregnant, Six is more than a match for them. Ha ha, that’s what you guys get for jumping a pregnant lady.Ellen goes and tracks down Caprica Six and taunts her mercilessly, mentioning her little encounter with Saul. Cap Six isn’t for the head games and stands up to Ellen, who tells her the baby is the proof that she’s won. Saul loves her more. What is this manipulative heifer up to?Saul and Ellen talk some more, and he tries to make his case for staying with the fleet. She ambushes him with the other Cylon voters and casts the final vote to leave. She knows Saul won’t, and Cap Six enters. Ellen explains Saul can’t leave because there’s something he loves more than both women in his life and even his baby: Bill Adama, Galactica and the uniform. It’s too much for Cap Six, who goes into premature labor.Cap Six mentions that Hera was born prematurely, but Cottle refuses to take a chance with a baby only four months old - even a Cylon baby. Ellen tries to take it all back and even helps Saul verbalize his feelings. But in the end, the little baby’s heart stops and you can feel Saul and Caprica’s pain.Saul and Bill console each other and Saul explains the baby would have been named Liam, which is short for “William.” I’m getting teary-eyed myself.Gaius Baltar is trying to reconnect with his love cult, which Paula has taken over now. Seems love and happiness have been replaced by hoarding guns and food. They really are an official cult now!Paula said they assumed they were abandoned and Baltar tries to talk his way out of it. He left them so they could become stronger, he claims. Paula’s not buying it, but the other ladies seem to be.While they’re out walking around Dogsville, they meet a hungry little boy and his mom. The mom explains the child is named Gaius, and while our Gaius begins congratulating himself it turns out the boy’s named after his father. Trying to save face, Gaius Baltar promises to bring back food for everyone. They do that and the Sons of Aries show up, jacking them for the food.Gaius, rallied on by his Six hallucination, gives his cult a speech about how all they need is love, strength and bigger guns than the Sons of Aries have. His plan to get them is to go to Admiral Adama and offer to distribute food among the lowly and downtrodden. Amazingly, this works. You da man, Gaius! Gaius also warns Adama that bringing more Cylons aboard could tear the ship apart. The other major problem is Galactica cracking from the inside, but the Cylon goop is helping with that. Adama tells Saul that he’s worried Galactica won’t know who she is anymore. There’s a lot of that going around. Speaking of which, Starbuck has a scene in a bar with Galen that I am pretty sure existed only to drop some bizarre hint. She said watching Ellen and Saul was like watching her parents. I don’t know what that means, but there is already speculation running rampant. Readers, what do you think?Pictured: (left) Tricia Helfer as Number Six — SCI FI Channel Photo: Carole SegalTags: Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, Battlestar Galactica Recaps, Battlestar Galactica Season Four, Battlstar GalacticaShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: The Editor's Desk: 4 Rules Before Doing A Remake

Remakes have been a hot topic around Hollywood for a number of years now. It seems like each week we hear about an older film (some older than others) getting put into re-production by some studio.  Some people complain that this shows a lack of originality in Hollywood.  While I don't love the idea of remakes in general, I have to respectfully disagree to a certain extent.

To various degrees there are some terrific films that have been made over the years that were actually remakes. Films like Scarface, The Fly, Lord of the Rings and Ocean’s Eleven are just a couple of examples that prove remakes CAN work if done right…. just like any other movie project.  They can also fail miserably... just like any other movie project.

While I don't do back flips over the idea of remakes, I'm also one that doesn't mind the idea of them in general. Yes, it has the potential of sucking… but so does every movie. However, when approaching remakes, I believe there are 4 “rules” or prerequisites that a remake project should meet before a studio moves forward with it.

These are "rules" I've had for years, and I think they are especially applicable in today's movie world.  Now keep in mind, all rules are made to be broken and have certain exceptions (for example, the upcoming new "Spider-Man".  It's not REALLY a remake, as it is a re-imagining. A whole new franchise that's not just remaking the original Sam Raimi version).

So here are my 4 rules (or "guidelines" to be more accurate) that I believe every studio should consider when contemplating doing a remake:

1) The original has to have a good story
I know that sounds too simple to even mention here, but you’d be surprised. What would be the point of remaking “Freddy Got Fingered”? Story is the base foundation of everything, if the original didn’t have it… then don’t bother.  I believe the driving force behind any remake should be the idea that the story DESERVES to be told again because it's just that good, or at least has the potential to be that good.

2) Majority of current audience hasn’t seen the original
This is a major factor. The strongest argument for doing a remake (to me anyway) is to bring a great story to a modern audience that otherwise wouldn’t have seen it. Yes, they could always go to their Netflix account and put it in their que… but we all know the most popular rentals are the new releases. That being the case, it makes no sense to do a remake if most of the current movie going audience has seen the original already. Films like The Godfather, Star Wars and other classics like them have been seen by most people.  However, a great film like the asian masterpiece "Infernal Affairs" was missed by almost everyone in North America, so it made perfect sense for Martin Scorsese to make "The Departed" for us to enjoy.

3) Original has to be at least 20 years old
This "rule" needs to be tempered by rule #2.  But in general, if a film was out just 9 years ago... leave it alone for another decade (unless, as rule #2 says, no one has seen it really).

4) The story would benefit from a modern telling
You have to adapt material moving it from one era to another. The question is: can that adaption be made into a modern context, or in the same context but with the benefit of modern filmmaking techniques and technologies? For example, could the story of "Ocean’s Eleven" benefit from transporting it into a modern casino context? YES. Or Lord of the Rings. Could it benefit changing mediums from animated to live action utilizing today’s technology to enhance the storytelling? Obviously YES. On the other hand, a film like “The Three Amigos” shouldn’t be remade (yet) because the story as it is and the context in which it was told wouldn’t benefit from an update at all. Undoubtedly at some point it WILL… but not right now, even though it’s more than 20 years old, is a hilarious story and SADLY most people today haven’t seen it.

I think if a film meets these 4 criteria then it’s a prime candidate to be remade… hopefully for the better. Does following my 4 rules guarantee that a remake will be successful and glorious and wonderful?  Obviously not, but I believe it does increase its chances of providing a positive movie going experience.

So what do you think? Would you add any more “rules” or criteria to my list or remove any of the ones I have there?  Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

Fat Celebs: One Life To Live : Matthew’s Got Spunk

Bo and Nora found marijuana from Matthew’s bag pack. Now the Commissioner and DA are trying to find out the truth. They have pretty much convinced themselves that the join was Matthew’s. The latter said it’s not. It could be Cole’s. Bo got mad. Cole has been nothing but a good friend to him, how can he put the blame on him? Then Matthew said it’s from a kid at school who is having trouble at home and school. He’s only holding it for him. Of course Bo and Nora saw the lie a mile away. Matthew can’t convince his parents that the joint is not his so he turned on both of them. “you’re going to sit there and tell me while in Vietnam, you never smoked any?” Bo said, “damn right, coz If I did, Asa would’ve killed me once I got back”Matthew turned to Nora… Nora said she did it when she was in college. She wasn’t 14 like Matthew. Matthew relented and admitted to buying it. He felt pressured and bullied. He’s the smallest kid in school. The only reason kids hasn’t kicked his butt is because Cole has his back. Not to mention his father is the Commissioner and his Mom is the DA. So Bo said they’re going to school, talk to the Principal and find out who is selling drugs at school. Matthew said, “the hell we are“. AND, just to make his parents crazier he said, “you know what, I didn’t even want to smoke it, now you’re making me want to“. (LMAO)I know it’s bad for me to say this and it’s probably going to bite me in the behind since I have a kid myself but I found the whole situation funny. I love how Matthew has found his spunk. It’s karma times 2 for Bo and Nora :) .(Image : Newscom)Tags: OLTL January 13 Recap, OLTL-Recap, One Life To Live RecapShare This... related tags: celebrity oops, star celeb, celebs feet, fat celebs, nip slip, barefoot celebs, smoking celebs, no fake celebs, celebrity pussy, celeb scandal, nude celebs, celeb sextape

Fat Celebs: Bones: A Look at the Premiere

My editor, Arieanna Schwebber, got to screen the first two episodes (the two-part premiere) of Bones season 4. She’s been sworn to secrecy on the specifics of the plots, but she does offer us this insight into the new season’s dynamics. You can read Arieanna’s blog at Gilmore Girls News.I had the very great pleasure of reviewing the screener for the two-part opening of Season 4 of Bones. "Yanks in the UK" is a two-part episode that will air on September 3, 2008 at 8pm on FOX. In the opening of Season 4, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) have traveled to London for Brennan to guest-lecture at Oxford University. Booth also gave a speech at Scotland Yard, which he thought to be much more interesting. Although it’s clear that Booth doesn’t like London (coffee withdrawal!) at first, there are a few things that start to change his mind. "Yanks in the UK" holds up a mirror to Booth & Bones with their British counterparts - Dr. Ian Wexler (Andrew Buchan) and Inspector Cate Pritchard (Indira Varma). But it’s not long before we see just how unique the relationship between Booth & Bones is, and how important it’s become for their work. Dr. Ian Wexler, who’s quite taken with Dr. Brennan, invites her to help him investigate the murder of a young heiress. Given that the heiress’ father is a prominent US citizen, Booth leads up the investigation on behalf of the FBI. It was great to see Booth & Bones going up against a totally different police and social environment - the scenes with the aristocracy are hilarious. I thought they did very well under the circumstances! The second part of the two-part opener picks up as Booth & Brennan are about to leave London. Sadly, another murder keeps them there. It’s in this part of the episode that some interesting dynamics to their relationship come forward - very good stuff!Meanwhile, back in DC at the Jeffersonian, there’s just about as much drama going on! While they lend a hand solving the case in London, Angela (Michaela Conlin) gets a surprise visit from her estranged husband Birimbau (Sean Blakemore). Angela must convince him to get a divorce, which isn’t an easy thing, so that she can marry Hodgins (TJ Thyne). Oh, the storyline is so poignant! I wish I could tell you what’s going to happen, but it’s a really important element of the season. Despite all the drama and the murder that we’ve come to expect from Bones, there is as much lightness and comedy as well. Booth supplies quite a bit of it, but he’s not alone in that. It’s a great start to the season. Fat Celebs: Human Target, Past Life: New on Fox

Fox has two new shows that might of interest but don’t get too hungry because they’re both scheduled as midseason replacements, not new for the fall.Human Target has several things going for it. It’s based on a DC Comics graphic novel and it stars Mark Valley from Fringe and Chi McBride from Pushing Daisies. It also comes from Wonderland Sound and Vision which is McG and Peter Johnson whom many of you know from Supernatural. Here’s how Fox describes the show:It takes a brave, selfless man to make himself a “human target” in order to save the lives of those in danger. Based on the popular DC Comics graphic novel, HUMAN TARGET is a full-throttle action drama centered on CHRISTOPHER CHANCE (Mark Valley, FRINGE), a unique private contractor/security guard hired to protect. Call him what you like, because for Chance, it’s about one thing only: saving his clients’ lives. When there is an unusual or imminent threat that can’t be solved through “normal” means of protection, Chance is hired to completely integrate himself into his clients’ lives – to become the human target. If you’re a corporate manager whose disgruntled employee has gone violently off the deep end, Chance is your new auditor. If you’re the president of a bank who’s been tipped off to a potential heist, Chance is your unassuming bank teller. During each job, Chance, assisted by his business partner WINSTON (Chi McBride, “Pushing Daisies”) and hired gun GUERRERO (Jackie Earle Haley, “Watchmen”), puts himself directly in the line of fire as he races against time to save his client, while unraveling the truth behind the mission. With every new danger, Chance’s dark history will also unravel. Does anyone know who Christopher Chance really is, or what secrets lay buried in his past? What would make a man willingly become a HUMAN TARGET? (CR: Kharen HIll/FOX/WBTV)The second show is called Past Life and it was inspired by a book by M.J. Rose called “The Reincarnationist.” I’m excited about this one because M.J. and I use to run in the same circles many, many years ago when she was just starting to make a name for herself. Makes me feel like I’ve still got a chance of inspiring a TV series — of course, I’d have to finish writing a book first! Here’s how Fox describes Past Life.Have you ever experienced déjà vu or met someone you thought seemed familiar? Do you believe in karma, fate or love at first sight? From writer David Hudgins (“Friday Night Lights”), and inspired by the book “The Reincarnationist” by M.J. Rose, comes PAST LIFE, a new drama series about an unlikely pair of past-life detectives who investigate whether what is happening to you today is the result of who you were before. DR. KATE MCGINN (Kelli Giddish, “All My Children”) is not your typical psychologist. Confident, outspoken and highly educated, she works at The Talmadge Center for Behavioral Health in New York City, a world-renowned institute dedicated to the study of the science of the soul. After experiencing a past-life regression in her 20s, Kate became a believer in reincarnation. Using regression therapy and her natural gift for reading people, Kate helps solve the mysteries of her troubled clients who suffer from present-day problems caused by past-life traumas. She believes there are levels of consciousness and explanations for human behavior that science can’t begin to explain.Accustomed to skeptics, but not bothered by them, Kate is an unapologetic believer and a force of nature who marches to the beat of her own drummer. Her partner, PRICE WHATLEY (Nicholas Bishop, “Home and Away”), is a different story. A former NYPD homicide detective, pragmatic and cynical, Price is a damaged soul who constantly battles grief and guilt over the accidental death of his wife. Price feels that Kate, though not certifiable, certainly operates on the fringes of science. It’s a volatile relationship, but with Price’s solid detective skills, and Kate’s penchant for out-of-the-box thinking, together they make a formidable, if somewhat dysfunctional, team. A fast-paced emotional thrill ride, each episode finds Price and Kate working with their colleagues to unravel a new mystery involving the past-lives of their clients. DR. MALACHI TALMADGE (Richard Schiff, “The West Wing”) is Kate’s mentor and the center’s namesake, an avuncular but gruff elder statesman who is a legend in the field of cognitive research. DR. RISHI KARNA (Ravi Patel, “Scrubs”) is the rookie of the group, a baby-faced therapist from Calcutta who loves bad American TV, Cuban jazz and driving everyone crazy.Nice cast, interesting plot. I’m thinking this one is going to be a winner for Fox. Fat Celebs: Getting a look at Brad Pitt’s Tree of Life

Tree of Life is somehow the most secretive movie I’ve ever heard of. For a long time no one even seemed to really know what the heck it was about other than Brad Pitt has a role in it. The site awardsdaily.com has the first look at a couple of photos from Tree of Life, including one of Brad with what is presumably his character’s family. Check out the photo here! The basic gist of the story seems to be that it follows a boy named Jack from age eleven up through manhood, set at some point in the 1940s. It deals with Jack’s journey through life as he goes from living a happy and pleasant life to experiencing the pain of seeing sickness, suffering, and death. It doesn’t sound like an action movie, more of a story, although Brad does wear a military uniform so there may be some war scenes at some point.Below the cut is a personal story from the woman who played the body double of the pregnant wife. I remember reading it when she first posted it to imdb.com and thought it was hilarious because when she went in to shoot the scene she had no idea that it was going to be with Brad Pitt touching her pregnant belly. Can you imagine showing up on set for “some movie” and you find out Brad Pitt is there?!The body double’s story:“Saturday she called me to tell me that they cast me in the part! Yay, I thought … assuming that they would have shots of my pregnant belly as the “stand in” for the actress. I have been hearing rumors about who was cast in the movie, but didn’t think they were slated to start shooting until March. My shot was today - I arrived in Smithville at 9:30 am, filled out some paperwork, and ate a danish. They drove me to the set in a van and the Producer went over the shot with me. I wore my lowest pants so that they wouldn’t have to be removed to get a full belly shot … and he said just holding up my shirt to the bra line was fine - so no wardrobe was needed. He went over what the shot entailed ~ the “actor” would be caressing my stomach, putting his head on my stomach, and possibly kissing it ~ and wanted to know if I would be okay with that. I said “SURE” … whatever … I wasn’t uptight about any of that (plus I think I look pretty good for a giant preggers and have no shame in baring it all). He then said, “um, do you know who the “actor” is? I said no. He said……. “it’s Brad. BRAD PITT.”“FREAKIN’ BRAD PITT WAS THE FATHER OF MY UNBORN BABY TODAY!!!!! He rubbed my belly, pressed his face to my belly, stared tenderly at my belly, and when Griffin kicked the crap out of him, smiled HUGELY and said “that’s so beautiful”. BRAD PITT THINKS IM BEAUTIFUL. Oh my God, I cannot stop smiling. I’m just on Cloud 9. Can you believe??????????????????????????????????????????? He spent 20 minutes about an inch away from all my sexual organs, lovingly rubbing my unborn child. Talk about a perfect day. ”“And for your Brad Pitt Fix today: Did I mention that he was in full Military Blues Uniform????? It was supposed to be the 1940’s and he was all decked out in uniform with that Robert Redford haircut, clean shaven (SOFT FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and totally nice.” I can’t say for sure, since I don’t know her, but I’d say she was just a little bit excited!I’m looking forward to learning more about this movie in time!
